I have been in the motorcycle saddle for more than 20 years, doing 100 000's of kilometres in Southern Africa.
I now find myself in a position to explore Europe.
In 2007 I had a week long trip through Scotland with a friend of mine.
When I came back I started thinking about where to go next.
Looking over the map of Europe, my gaze fell on Spain. I spotted Portugal and then saw that Africa and the Sahara desert is not too far from there.
So that is where the Morocco trip was born, in the European winter of 2007.
In order to get the bike ready and save enough money I set the departure date for 2009.
At first the trip seems like nothing different to any of my other trips, just a shorter amount of time to do distance. 2 weeks, 6700k's
No problem, Morocco here I come!!
